Summer Rain

Two souls young at heart
Innocent, or close thus far
Captive to nothing, chasing stars

They're just two halves of a whole
Never caring whether they grow old
Experiencing life
And eventually, death

But now, now it's too late
Their fate
Is to carry onward
"No, no time to regret"
They said
"In darkness we remain"
And so they dance out in the summer rain

In the summer rain

Back down that road once more
Exchanging thoughts within rapport
Not knowing what they have in store

They're just two halves of a whole
Realizing that they'll soon grow old
Presently, death awaits
In stasis

But now, now it's too late
Their fate
Is to carry onward
"No, no time to regret"
They said
"In darkness we remain"
And now they're dying in the summer rain

(In the summer rain)

Watch them dance, and take their chance
Watch them dance...
Watch them dance, and take their chance
And now they're dead
